Effective Outreach Strategy

Disarm with Honesty - Start with a quick permission question to lower resistance.

“Hey, this is [Your Name] calling from Breez—how are you doing?”

·         Gather their response – many people go the entire day without someone checking in to see how they are doing.

·         Keep it light, respond genuinely with words, such as:

o   “Good!”

o   “That sounds great”

o   “Sorry to hear, hoping your day gets better. Well,…”

o   “Happy to hear”

o   “I hear you…well”

§  The power of “well” – This is an interjection that gently veers the conversation toward a positive and productive direction.

Continue…

“Yes, so my name is [Your name], and Breez is an events and consulting company that offers ways for companies to make themselves more visible to new customers.” [And excuse me, I did not catch your name] …

Once they give their name:

“[Their Name], I know this is a little out of the blue.”

Why it works:

  • It’s honest.

  • It gets straight to the point

“I’m reaching out because Breez offers a curated membership designed for brands looking to stand out more strategically. I work with emerging and established brands who are looking to grow without losing their voice.”

Make It About Them Immediately

“May I ask what channels you are using to position your brand?

However they respond, trigger curiosity, then offer value. Utilize open ended questions to prompt potential Members to talk about their challenges first. Regardless of their response, simply affirm (“I see” OR “I hear you” OR “Great”), then continue asking questions, such as:

·         “What’s something you wish people understood more clearly about your work?”

·         “How do you typically vet opportunities that come your way?”

·         “What kind of support would feel genuinely helpful—not just another task?”

·         “How are you currently positioning your brand to stand out without feeling overexposed?”

·         “What channels or partnerships have felt most aligned with your brand voice so far?”

·         “Do you feel like your brand is being seen by the right audience—or just more audience?

·         “Are you currently plugged into any creative or business communities that actually feel energizing?”

·         “What kinds of partnerships or collabs would be a dream scenario for your brand right now?”

·         “What type of customer do you most want to be in conversation with, creatively or strategically?”

·         “What’s a message or story your brand hasn’t had the space to share yet?”

·         “What does a ‘win’ look like for your brand beyond sales or followers?”

·         “Where are you hoping to grow next—visibility, reach, or something more internal?”

·         “What feels like your biggest opportunity right now?”

·         “What’s something you’d do more of if time or bandwidth weren’t an issue?”

Play with the language here; make it yours

“[Well/So/Okay] B R E E Z Membership is an exclusive membership, which means we only promote Members during our online and live events, on social @breezrsvp, and through strategic brand placement. For example, we have an online series called [Singles Spotlight/Self-Care: The Moment Is Now/BREEZ Cuisine] - we only promote the products and services of Members on the show; we reach out to you to ask how we can position you in our online and in-person event offerings. It is just a one-time induction priced at $59, followed by $6.99/month to stay connected and in prime position. So, for pennies per potential customer, you're stepping into a space designed to elevate your brand with intention. If it feels aligned, we’d love to welcome you in.”

When potential Members respond that they would like to join:

·         “Great choice, is this the best number to text you to get you set up? It takes about 2 minutes.”

·         Gather the best phone number or email to send them this link: https://www.breezevents.com/b-r-e-e-z-membership

·         “Have you received the link? Great, I can walk you through it.”

·         Make sure the new Member places your name in the “Breez Crew member who assisted you” space. Let the new Member know they will receive a confirmation email once they have completed the transaction.

·         Thank them – “We are elated to have you join our community. Keep an eye out for positioning opportunities; like we spoke about before, these are only offered to Members”

If the potential new Member is hesitating, refer to a couple more open-ended questions. If there is further hesitation:

·         “I understand if you would like to consider B R E E Z membership a bit more. Could I give you a call next week or keep in touch via text?”

o   This allows consent to contact

o   If they consent to text, (ask for the spelling of their name if unsure, and) send them the message below with your name immediately after the call

§  Hello [Their Name], this is [Your first name and last initial]. I appreciate your taking my call today. We are excited to have conneced with you and have so many opportunities for you to elevate your brand. Feel free to learn more at https://www.breezevents.com/b-r-e-e-z-membership. I am here to answer any questions you may have. Enjoy your day!”

o   Always follow up weekly

If rejecting (a flat out no, or not interested response)

·         “I appreciate your time and am here to answer any questions you may have. Enjoy the rest of your day”

·         It is okay if they reject. It helps save time from pouring into an uninterested party.

·         Take a deep breath, you’ve got this.

Universal Tips

  • Research is royalty: Mention something specific to show you did your homework.

  • Tailor openings and questions based on the industry

  • Keep it short: Especially in emails—aim for 100–150 words max.

  • Follow up: Most responses happen after the 2nd or 3rd attempt.

  • Use enhancement tools and resources to refine the language to your particular style

  • Look into Informational and Motivational Interviewing

A Note on Objections

When a potential customer seems guarded or gives an excuse, they are usually interested. They simply are unsure of what questions to ask or what information they want to have. Here is an invaluable opportunity to tune in – ask an open-ended question and just listen. They will share *something* that will reveal to you what they want. Since you will be actively listening, your response will offer a solution and give them what they want.

*Hint: We all wish to be seen, accepted, and valued. B R E E Z  Membership offers these necessities.
